Sabine County Justices of the Peace attended a 20-hour seminar in Tyler that was conducted by the Texas Justice Court Training Center headquartered at Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos. Attending were: Bobby White of Pct. 4; Thomas Hamilton of Pct. 1, Place 1; Daniel Featherston of Pct. 3; Clarice Clark of Ptc. 5; and Jimmy Clark of Pct. 2
Obituary
Bobby Glenn White, 76, of Bronson, Texas died at his home Monday, February 6, 2017. He was born in Sabine County, December 21, 1940, to William Curtis (1905-1990) and Freddie Miller White (1914-1985). Bobby attended Bronson I.S.D. for 12 years. He was Mr. Bronson high School, an FFA Officer, an Annual Staff member, Class Officer, Boy Scout, and a member of the Bronson Bulldogs basketball and baseball teams. Bobby graduated Bronson High School in 1959, going on to attend Lamar University where he earned an Associate's Degree. Bobby served two terms as a West Sabine I.S.D. School Board member, served as the Sabine County Precinct Two Justice of the Peace for eighteen years, and retired as a supervisor for Temple-Inland. He was a member of Pinehill Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Jean White, of Bronson, Texas; his two sons, Curtis White and wife, Brenda, and Rocky White and wife Margaret, all of Bronson; his brothers, Burl White and wife, Helen, and Earl White and his sister, Johnnie Phillips and husband, Glen, also all of Bronson, six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 5 pm to 9 pm, Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr St., Hemphill, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Starr Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Plainview Cemetery.
