R.R. "Bobby" Butler
Robert Raymond "Bobby" Butler, 99, of Hemphill died at 8:10 a.m. Friday, March 4, 2005 at Colonial Pines Care Center in San Augustine.
Butler was born Sept. 13, 1905, in Sabine County as a son of the late Ellen Fannie (Andrews) and Robert Curry Butler and was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a farmer and founder of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors: wife, Mary Conn Butler of Hemphill; a sister, Pauline Wright of Hemphill; four grandchildren, Angie, Shelly, Kirk and Holly; thre great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Gravelhill community, with Bro. I. W. Ferguson and Bro. Randy Mills officiating. Interment followed at Gravelhill Cemetery.
Services were under the direction of Starr Funeral Home Inc. of Hemphill.
