  Notes	Shown as Hester C. on census records SABINE COUNTY REPORTER 10 January 2001 Hester Davidson Collier, 79, of Hemphill died Saturday, January 6, 2001 at a Houston hospital. Mrs. Collier, born Feb. 9, 1921, in Hemphill as a daughter of the late Ruthie Nina (White) and Richard Frank Davidson, was a retired registered nurse, having served as company nurse for Mossier Steel. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and American Business Women's Association. Survivors: sons, William Collier and Craig Collier, both of Houston; daughter Susan Jones of Houston; sisters Betty Ferguson and Zeda Schultz, both of Hemphill and Madie Snowden of Beaumont; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Jan. 8 at the chapel of Starr Funeral Home Inc. in Hemphill with Bro. D.W. McCasland officiating. Interment followed at Hemphill City Cemetery.
