- The 1910 census (ED#44, page 121, line 37, Hulen, Comanche, Oklahoma) shows that the Choate's were married for 27 years, and were the parents of 9 children. It appears they had two sets of twins. The youngest twins were shown on the census, dated May of 1910 as being 1 and 7/12 years old. Ellen's parents were born in Texas, David's father born in Texas and his mother in Alabama. This part of the county was split in 1912 into Cotton County, Oklahoma.
