Golden Anniversary
Dillon and Inez Ferguson of Evadale will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Aug. 7, 2004, at 2 p.m. at the Evadale Calvary Apostolic Church Fellowship Hall. Dillon retired from the Temple-Inland Papermill in Evadale and Inez is a wonderful homemaker. Dillon is the son of W. A. (Bill) and Ollie Ferguson of Sabinetown. The celebration is hosted by their three children and their families, Dillon Ray and Pam Ferguson, Betty Jane and Jimmie Immel, and Debbie Hall. Friends and loved ones are welcome to join the celebration of 50 wonderul years. The couple requests no gifts.
Obituary
Mrs. Betty Inez Ferguson, age 84, of Evadale, Texas, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2020, in Silsbee, Texas.
Known by family and friends as "Inez," she was born June 23, 1936, in Sabine County, Texas, to parents Franklin Frederick Jones Sr. and Maudie Whitmire Jones. Mrs. Ferguson grew up and spent her early years in the Bronson, Texas, area and had lived in Evadale since 1963. She was a homemaker and spent her life dedicated to taking care of the needs of her entire family. Inez had a great love of cooking and making everyone had enough--"You never left her house hungry." Mrs. Ferguson was also a very dedicated member of Calvary Apostolic Church in Evadale, supporting in every way possible and faithful in attendance as long as her health allowed.
Her survivors include her children, Betty Jane Immel and husband Jimmie of Silsbee, Texas, Dillon Ray Ferguson and wife Pam of Evadale, Texas, and Debbie Goins and husband Ricky of Hemphill, Texas; her sisters, Lorene Chance of Diboll, Texas,and Mary McGraw and husband Shelton of Evadale, Texas; a brother, Franklin Frederick Jones Jr. of Lufkin, Texas; a brother-in-law, Nolan Ferguson of Hemphill, Texas; grandchildren, Jimmie Immel Jr., Gidget Bertrand, Greg Hobbs, Jodie Immel, Angie Hunsinker, Sue Ann Ferguson, Jared Ferguson, Miranda Ferguson, Kimberly Goins, and Chelesa Freeze; and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dillon Ferguson; her parents, Franklin and Maudie Jones; a granddaughter, Jennifer Goins Brown; and her sister, Georgia Ann DuBose and husband Harvey.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 21, 2020, at Farmer Funeral Home Chapel, located at 415 North Fourth Street in Silsbee, Texas.
Funeral services are planned for 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 21, 2020, at Farmer Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Chris Moody officiating. Interment will follow with a 2:30 p.m. graveside service at Harpers Chapel Cemetery, located off FM 83 East near Hemphill, Texas.
Pallbearers: Greg Hobbs, Curt Spell, Jeff Bertrand, Nick Casper, Nate Casper, and Terry Sherman.
