Mrs. Letha Conn Laird celebrated her 79th birthday Sunday, January 19, 1969, at her home in the Gravelhill community with an open house from 2 till 6 p.m.
Mrs. Letha Laird, the daughter of Henry (Jiggs) Conn and Fannie Barrett Conn, was born near her present home and has spent her entire life in or near the Gravelhill community.
Hosts for the occastion were her three children, W. E. (Pete) Laird, Mrs. A. L. (Marjie) Weeks and A. E. Laird. Seven grandchildren, Fletcher, Carolyn Weeks Barnes and Mike Weeks; Lyn, Shawn, Tannia and Venetia Laird; and April Weeks her great grandchild.....Approximately 65 friends and relatives called.
