Abstract of Civil War Pension Applications, Sabine County, Texas: Mrs. Nancy Jane Ferguson, widow's application for pension number 26250, field March 14, 1912, approved December 1, 1913, allowed from March 1, 1914. Date of pension November 9, 1912. She is the widow of Jeremiah Alexander Ferguson who departed this life on February 12, 1912 in Sterling County, Texas. They were married on October 14, 1866 in Sabine County, Texas. She has not remarried. Her age is 66 years and she was born in Sabine County, Texas. She has lived in Sabine County, Texas for 62 years and her post office address is Hemphill, Texas. Mr. (sic) Nancy Jane Ferguson died June 6, 1928 in Sabine County, Texas.
At the time of the 1910 Census, she was living with the family of her widowed daughter, Melissa Ferguson Conn, in Precinct 1 of Sabine County.
