Rosine Rawson
Rosine Rawson, 90, of Austin died Friday, Oct. 8, 1999 in Austin.
Mrs. Rawson was born June 15, 1909 in San Augustine County's Denning community as a daughter of the late Curtis and Etheal (Harrell) Sanders and was a retired elementery school teacher. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the order of the Eastern Star, Educational Society ART, Daughters of the Republic of Texas, and United Methodist Women.
Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Anita and Ted Edwards of Austin, brother Lester H. Sanders of Benton, Arkansas; sisters, Ruth Fowler of Tyler and Betty Elwell of Gilmer; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester F. Rawson.
Funeral services were held Oct. 11, at Wyman Roberts Funeral Directors chapel in San Augustine with Bro. Tony McCollum, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment followed at Liberty Hill Memorial Gardens in San Augustine.
