  Married: Jay Ingalls has the Irwin family bible that was owned by his grandmother, a daughter of Johann Jacob (Jake) Schopf and Margaret Ann Irwin. He writes that "the earliest Irwin in the Bible was Joseph K. Irwin, b. 31 Oct 1831, he married Jane Lewis on 20 Nov 1851. Jane Lewis was born on 3 Aug 1831. They are listed in the 1870 census for Northumberland county. Elijah Lewis, age 70, father of Jane Ann (Jeanette) Lewis was living with them.
