Notes |
Married:
- Jim McLemore emailed, on January 6, 2010 that "Mr. and Mrs. Hendrix owned the cotton gin in Crisp, Tx east of Ennis. They were originally from Howard, TX which is 9 miles south of Waxahachie. Mrs. Hendrix was a Brookshire and her brother married my mother's (Jimmie Hudson) oldest sister. The Hendrix's had four daughters and one son. Three of the girls marries McLemore's. Floy and Willie married John Rhodes and Jesse Leon. Leo married Felix McLemore the son of William Thomas.
You want a mixed up mess, you got one. To take if further, my mother's father William Hudson managed the gin. That's where my mom and dad met (Jimmie Hudson and William Delbert McLemore). They farmed there for 10 years before moving to Howard where I was born."
