  Married: According to "MARRIAGE BONDS OF DUPLIN COUNTY, NC 1749-1868" by Cora Bass (Southern Historical Press: 1959) Rhuben MORGAN and Darcas NEWTON were married on 25 November 1793 by David WILLIAM, with Wm. DICKSON, CC as witness. A few years later, on 2 Feb 1796, Samuel MORGAN and Elizabeth TONANS were married with Wm. WILKINSON officiating, and Wm. DICKSON, CC as witness. The relationship between Rueben and Samuel is unknown.
