Notes |
Married:
- In the Loring section, page 4, of the "mcclanahanhistory.com" website, Alice America Loring is shown as a daughter of John N. "Jack" Loring and a granddaughter of Frederick Loring. She was also shown as married first to James CALLOWAY, and second to Winfield Scott PAYNE. The webiste incorrectly shows Winfield Scott Payne as a son of Charles Payne and Martha Medley, and also cites an erroneous date and location of birth for him, that of 12 Mar 1849 in Van Buren County, Tennessee. The 1900 Custer County, Oklahoma census shows Winfield Scott Payne as being born in Feb. 1853 in Missouri. The 1860 Shelby County, MO census shows 7 year old Winfield with his parents, Thomas Hamilton Payne and Martha Jane Marshall.
