| Cutting, Abraham (POSSIBLY)
The father of Royal S. Cutting?
This was among a group of Cutting tintypes given to Cindy Davis Kapiton. The tintypes were said to be photos of Royal Cutting and his son, Glenn Cutting, Sr. It is possible that this an early photo of Royal Cutting. However the color of the subject's eyes appear much lighter than Royal's eyes do in other photos. It was therefore assumed this might be a photo of Glenn Cutting, Sr. However, Janice Cutting Stevens, Glenn Cutting, Sr.'s granddaughter, says this is not a photo of her grandfather. She writes that although it might be of Royal, she suspects this is actually a photo of Royal's father, Abraham Cutting. The photo itself also appears to be older than the others in the group, which would support this conclusion. Cindy Kapiton suggested that this might instead be a photo of Royal's older brother, also named Abraham. The exact identity, however, is still unknown.
POSITIVE IDENTIFICATION WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!

| Cutting, Royal (Assumed to be an early photo), prob. ca. 1880-1890 This tintype was sent to Cyndi Kapiton by a cousin in Illinois as part of a group of tintypes. He told her that two of the pictures were of her grandfather, Glenn Cutting, Sr. and that there was also a picture of Royal and a picture of Alice. Based on the facial features of this individual, including the color of his eyes, it appears that the subject of this photo is actually Royal Cutting, and not Royal's son Glenn Cutting. This would mean there were actually two tintypes of Royal, and only one of Glenn Cutting, Sr. POSITIVE IDENTIFICATION WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

| Datel, Joseph and Anna (Sukova) Family Gathering in Celebration of their Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary, 1905 Anita Savery sent this resized it and cropped copy of the original photo of Joseph and Anna Datel's Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary. She received her copy from a Matejka and a Soukup. Joseph and Anna are seated in the middle. The adult children are seated. Adult spouses and grandchildren are standing. Younger grandchildren are seated on the ground. Left to right seated are: Frank B. Datel holding his daughter Mabel, Caroline (Datel) Beznoska holding her son James, UNKNOWN, Joseph Sr. and wife Anna, Thomas Datel, Rosalie (Datel) Soukup, UNKNOWN, UNKNOWN. She thinks the two girls standing on the right are Anna Soukup and Lillie Beznoska. Joseph F. Datel (son of Anton) is standing fourth from the left. The handsome young man to his left looks like Frank Beznoska III, The tall man behind Joseph Datel, Sr. is James Ruzicka with his wife Anna Beznoska to his left. Lillian Bartosh Datel is standing behind Frank B. and to her left is Frank Beznoska II who married Caroline. Spouses are standing behind the three ladies on the right. Behind Rosalie is Anton Soukup, it appears, but is not known with certainty, that next to Rosalie is Emma Howe with spouse behind her, (or maybe instead Elizabeth Bloch) and Mary Ann (Datel) Matejka with spouse, John Henry Matejka, behind her. Thomas Datel's wife Mary Krofta IS NOT in the photo and his two sons may or may not be the two boys on the ground on the far left. Anton and James Datel were also not pictured. | Elliott Home Labelled simply as "Elliott Home," this was first assumed to be the home that Augustus & Sarah Elliott shared with their daughter and son-in-law, Ida & Bert Smith. The two families shared a home from about 1910 to 1940, which was located at 501 Taylor Street, in Grand Ledge, Mich. The home that was originally at 501 Taylor has since been torn down, but photos of a home that appeared to be at that location in the 1930's differed significantly. Possibly this was their home in Lake Odessa, Michigan? ANY ASSISTANCE IN PINPOINTING THE LOCATION OF THIS HOME, WHICH IS CURRENTLY UNKNOWN, WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

| Elliott, Augustus, circa 1900-1920 Husband of Sarah Ann Cramer
B. 1838 Virginia D. 1921 Michigan
Augustus was born in Virginia. He followed his older brother David to Ohio as a young man. Augustus enlisted in the Union Army in 1862, a few months after his oldest son was born. He had at least one brother who fought for the Confederacy. Family legend has it that though fighting on opposing sides, he was reunited with a rebel brother at an army hospital during the war. This is thought to be a picture of Augustus, but this has not be absolutely confirmed. The copy handed down to Melinda Strong was labelled on the back "Uncle Burt Elliott," presumably in error. Becky Asif had an identical picture handed down in her family, unlabelled, but was told that it was Augustus Elliott.
