It appears that Dick Stamper is Hiram F. "Dick" Stamper, Jr. If this is correct, then this photo would be of his wife, Henrietta Vada Craig, and their eldest child, daughter Sylvia V. Stamper, born in August, 1914 in Texas. However, this is unknown with certainty.

| Striffler Home (George and Cora), 6593 Houghton St, Cass City, Michigan The Cass City Home of George and Cora Striffler. George was a prominent merchant in the early years of the village. The home was later owned by the family of Robert and Lorraine Benkelman. In a 1915 article from HISTORY OF MICHIGAN, it was noted that "Mr. Striffler has recently completed in Cass City a handsome and thoroughly modern house of twelve rooms, the same being the family home and one of the most attractive in the village, even as it is one of the most hospitable,a center of much of the social activity of the community. An appreciable part of the timber utilized in the erection of this building was taken from land owned by Mr. Striffler and is of growth that has been made since the disastrous forest fires which swept this section in 1871. Mr. Striffler himself found satisfaction in assisting in the sawing of the logs into the lumber and shingles for his fine new residence."
In 1964, Robert Fletcher Benkelman and his wife Lorraine purchased the home, and lived in it with their family through 1970.

| Striffler, Martha or Esther? Martha and Esther were sisters, both daughters of John Striffler and Mary Benkelman. Carole Benkelman has a copy of this photo, and it was labeled Esther Striffler, who later married Rudolph Kaiser. Maggie Bethel also has a copy, inherited from her grandmother, Lena Mark Schwegler. Maggie believes it instead to be a photo of Martha Striffer. The woman in the photo is wearing the same clothing in this photo as in a cameo photo of Martha Striffler, also taken at the Meier studio, possibly taken at the same time. PLEASE HELP US CONFIRM EXACTLY WHO IS PICTURED IN THIS PHOTO.

| Striffler, Mary, UNKNOWN, and Augusta Krehl This is thought to be a photo of Mary Striffler (left), with her foster sister, Augusta Krehl. Mary and Augusta were married to brothers, Samuel and John Benkelman. The woman in the center of the photo is not known. It could possibly be their sister, Fannie Stiffler Maier, but based on comparisons to other photos, this is unlikely. Mary was identified through comparison to other known photos. Augusta was positively identified by her son, Alvin C. Benkelman Sr.
