14103 I44772  McClanahan  Jack  Abt 1911  Yes, date unknown  It appears that he was living with his uncle and aunt, Alvin and Katie McClanahan at the time of the 1930 Federal census, in Red Mound, Seminole County, Oklahoma. In their household is an 18 year old Jack McClanahan, born in OK, and listed as nephew.

The California Death Index has a listing for Jack A. McClanahan, born 12 Aug 1912 in Oklahoma and died 1 Mar 1965. Not know if this is the same Jack McClanahan, as his parents names are not transcribed. On the 1940 census, A Jack McClanahan, born ca 1913 on Oklahoma, can be found in Ukiah, California, married to Vevia May, age 22 and born in Oklahoma, and the father of a newborn son, Buford A. McClanahan. That Jack was shown as having lived in rural Gregg County, Texas in 1935, and Vevia in Seminole County, OK. Jack's occupation was shown as Laborer, Road Maintenance.

14104 I6242  McClanahan  Jay  3 Jan 1898  May 1969  When he registered for the draft during the First World War, he was lsited as Jay McClanahan and was living in Hewitt, OK, and working as a Painter. His closest relative was shown as W. P. McClananah, his father. Listed as "widowed" at the time of the 1920 census. He was living with his father and stepmother in Hewitt, Oklahoma, and working in the oil fields. His FindAGrave memorial page, created by Jean, instead lists him as Joy McClanahan, but there is not a photo of the tombstone to verify the spelling. He is shown as sharing a double marker with Kate McClanahan (1902-1998).  STR06

Her parents moved back to Dallas County, Missouri, where Loue died 2 weeks before her fourth birthday on February 9, 1883.

She is buried next to her grandfather, Enoch Cox McClanahan, in Montgomery Cemetery. Her stone is no longer legible.

14112 I16281  McClanahan  Lula Pearl  Dec 1881  Yes, date unknown  Ken Harvey writes "There is another photograph, this time of his high school graduation in from Quanah High School in May 1901. This shows him holding his sheepskin diploma-no "mere paper" at that time! The photograph shows five girls dressed like bridesmaids and one boy with a flower in his button hole, all students surrounding a man who is presumably the school principal. Marvin, the solitary boy (young adult), is at the rear (apparently education was not a very macho activity among the youth of the town). His younger sister Effie stands to his immediate right. Marvin read an essay to the assembled parents on "Closing Events of the Nineteenth Century." His sister Effie read an essay on "Duty." One of the other girls present was a Payne double first cousin, Lula Pearl McClanahan (daughter of Fred Lafayette McClanahan and Calla Payne). She read an essay on "Courage.""  STR06
14113 I4941  McClanahan  Margaret  2 Aug 1882  4 Jul 1910  Shown as born in either Jacksboro, Texas or Decatur, Texas. Not listed on the 1900 census with her parents and sibling. Did she marry young? Said to have married George PATRICK. Unable to locate them on either the 1900 or 1910 census index.  STR06
14114 I6107  McClanahan  Myrtle May  May 1896  25 Feb 1937  A photo of her gravemaker is on her FindAGrave memorial page, created by "AlbFirefly."

It is a very simple marker, laying flat on her lot. It is inscribed "Mother Myrtle May Stoneking" with her year of birth, 1896, to the left of her name and her year of death, 1937 to the right.

STR06
14115 I5540  McClanahan  Olivia  Abt 1844  1 Apr 1910  Ken Harvey writes "She was known as Ollie and is remembered as having had violet coloured eyes. In the census of 1880 she gave her age as 34. This would result in her year of birth being 1846. A possible son, Billie Payne believed to have been born abt. 1891, was also listed. This is thought to be an error. Grace Payne, also listed here as a child, is almost certainly Marvin Walter Payne's wife, Grace Ellen Gentry.

Ollie used to teasingly say, when the atheletic Sam went off to distant parts cowboying for a month or so, that she was going into town "to get herself a fatman." Presumably his weight would keep him in one place. Young Effie would always reply "Yes, and I will damm him to.""

Lynell Cordell found this brief mention of her final illness in the Duncan Eagle, dated Thursday, Jan. 13, 1910:

"We regret very much to learn that Mrs. S.M. Payne, who lives in the Wood Reserve, received a severe stroke of paralysis on last Tuesday, and since that time has been dangerously ill."

Lynell was not, however, able to locate an obituary.

14116 I4901  McClanahan  Perry D.  Abt 1838  13 Jul 1882  McClanahan Family History by Dorothy Pattison says "Perry served as Capt. in Civil War Companies "B" and "C", 2nd Missiouri Cavalry, Missouri State Militia. These companies inducted in Schuyler County, Missouri. Capt. McClanahan served with Thad S. Westcott. He died of "congestion of the brain, superinduced by chronic alcoholism."

Cova Jean Williams instead indicated his wife was Lola BOATMAN. Willie was said to have had blue eyes and brown hair.

FindAGrave links him to spouse Evelyn Ester McClanahan, (1904-1994, FAG#93628537), apparently a second marriage.

His date of death was shown as 26 Sept 1918, and he has a military marker, inscribed "OK Pvt 127 M. G. BN 34 Div." This appears to be the same William P. McClanahan, as an application was made for a Military Headstone for William Percy McClanahan, to be buried in Marlow, by W. P. McClanahan Sr of Healdton, Okla in 1931.
