    Notes
    • William Everheart notes that Jane Easley age 65 born TN shows up in the 1860 Van Zandt census with the Murphy family (an original Sabine County family) along with a William Easley. This Murphy family is a descendant of a Willis and Priscilla Murphy. Priscilla was born 1801 in GA and I suspect she was either a sister of Daniel or of Frances Jane Hornbeck. (Email dated 7 Jan 2000 from weverheart@worldnet.att.net). Janie Easley Vance instead shows her place of birth as Georgia, per census records.
