Falkenhagen rites to be held Thursday
Funeral services for Harry Falkenhagen, 83, were to be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Salem United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ira Wood officiating. Burial was to follow in Mooretown cemetery, Snover.
Mr. Falkenhagen died Sunday, Jan. 2, at Hills and Dales Hospital where he had been a patient one week. He had been in ill health for several years.
He was born in Saginaw county April 23, 1888, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry and Lotie Betkie Falkenhagen. He was married to Miss Fredia BRANDT July 18, 1916. She died Oct. 9, 1943.
He was married to Miss Gertrude Stiffler Sept. 14, 1948, in Cass City. They moved to Cass City eight years ago from Snover, where they lived until his death.
He attended the Salem United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Phillip (Evelyn) SMITH of Snover; two sisters, Mrs. Rose SCHREIBER of Saginaw and Mrs. Nettie WIHRMAN of Lapeer; a brother, Guy of Reese; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Twelve brothers and sisters preceded him in death.
