- He appears to have been named in honor of Adoniram Judson (1788-1850), a prominent Baptist Missionary to Burma
Enlisted in the CSA with his brother Theodore Wall in New Orleans in 1862. After the fall of New Orleans they transferred to Co. B., 17th Louisiana Infantry. A.J. was captured and paroled in the Siege of Vicksburg in Mississippi. He was paroled at Natchitoches at the close of the war. (Casagranda, 1850 Census, 83).
