Listed on the 1850 So. Division, Tishomingo Co., MS Census, pg 160, 11/26/1850 as Robert Moore, age 47, gunsmith, value of real estate 1000, born NC. Living with wife Cela and 7 children: Samuel (20-AL), Stephen (16-TN), William (14-TN), Sally (12-TN), Mary (10-MS), Isabella (8-MS) and James K P (5-MS).

*Note, after leaving NC, Robert must have spent time in AL and TN before Tishomingo Co., MS, as some of his children were born in those states according to the 1850 census. He would have moved to Tish. Co about 1838-1840.

Listed on the 1860 Southern Division, Tishomingo Co., MS Census as Robert Moore, age 57, farmer, 2500/7000, born NC. Living with wife Celia (55-NC), and 4 children: Saml. P (30-AL), Martha (20-MS), Isabella (18-MS), Jas. K.P. (16-MS).
