    Mary Frances Collins Jackson, 80, of San Augustine died Wednesday, Aug. 9, at Twin Lakes Care Center in San Augustine.

    Mrs. Jackson, a homemaker, was a native of Corsicana and had lived in San Augustine 30 years.

    Survivor: six sons, Billy Jackson and L.T. "Tommy" Jackson, both of Dallas, I. D. "Butch" Jackson, Buster Jackston, and Gary Jackson, all of Milam, and Stanley Jackson of San Augustine; three sisters, Clara Florance of Houston, Zelda Crouch of Tyler, and Margaret Brown of Sweeney; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and five step-great granchildren.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, T. E. "Slick" Jackson.

    Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Friday at the Wyman Roberts Funeral Home chapel in San Augustine with Bro. Milton Powell officiating. Interment followed at New Hope Cemetery near Milam.

    Buster Jackson, 66, died Monday afternoon the the Nacogdoches Medical Center after a sudden illness. Buster was born in Corsicana, TX, to Thomas and Mary Collins Jackson. He has lived in Milam for forty-five years coming there from San Augustine, TX. He was a heavy equipment operator for A. L. Helmcamp.

    Buster is survived by his son Jerry Jackson and wife Gina of Milam, his daughter Paula Jackson and husband Dustin of Hemphill, five brothers; Billy Jackson of Whitewright, TX, Tommy Jackson of Dallas, Butch Jackson of Hemphill, Gary Jackson of Milam, and Stanley Jackson of San Augustine. He is also survived by six grandchildren.

    Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011, in the Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr St., Hemphill, TX. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2011, in the Starr Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery near Milam, TX.
    Services are under the direction of Starr Funeral Home, 510 Starr Street, Hemphill Texas.

    Gary Lynn Jackson, 75, of Milam, Texas passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital.

    Gary was born on July 3, 1946 in Corsicana, Texas to Thomas Eldridge Jackson and Mary Collins Jackson. He was a lifetime resident of Sabine County having worked at Georgia Pacific for 36 years. Gary loved hunting, fishing and gambling but he loved spending time with his kids and grandkids most of all. He was a member of The Refuge Baptist Church in Milam, Texas.

    He is survived by his grandchildren, Cody Jackson, Wrangler Richmond, Stormy Richmond, Harley Richmond, Victoria Russell, Nikki Watson, Ashley Williamson, Bo Williamson, Courtney Sowell, Sara Brown; daughter in law, Teresa Jackson; brothers, Billy Jackson of Sherman, Texas, Butch Jackson and wife Marsha Kay of Milam, Stanley Jackson and wife, Lily of San Augustine, and Tommy Jackson and wife Teresa of Dallas; and 17 great grandchildren.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Mary Jackson; his wife, Louise Jackson; sons, Greg Mills and Scott Jackson; daughter, Jennifer Jackson; brother, Buster Jackson; and sister in law, Carole Jackson.

    A visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday, February 4, 2022 at The Refuge in Milam.

    Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at The Refuge in Milam with Bro. George Ross officiating.

    Burial will follow services in New Hope Cemetery in Milam under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with Jerry Jackson, Kyle Jackson, Little Man Jackson, Josh Jackson, Clint Jackson, Bryan Jackson, and Robert Jackson serving as pallbearers.
