Generation: 1

  1. 1.  James McLemore was born about 1805 in North Carolina; and died.

    Notes:

Tom Heseltine writes of James "born about 1805, married Hettie McDonald, moved to Alabama." He appears to have been one of the two males under the age of 10 on the 1810 Burke County, North Carolina census, which would put his birth sometime between 1800 and 1810. As he was married in 1829, it is logical that he would have been somewhere between 19 and 29 years of age.

Could this be the James McLemore found as a Head of Household in Marshall County, Alabama in 1840 and in adjacent Jackson County, Alabama thereafter?
