    Notes:

Mary Dorothy Dubose, 97, of Milam, Texas passed away on Friday, September 24, 2021 at Hemphill Care Center.

Dorothy was born on August 28, 1924 in Milam, Texas to Lacy Theron Browning and Biddie Orlean Halbert Browning.

Mary Dorothy, known as Dot-dee to many and as Grandmother to those blessed enough to call her theirs, was truly a one of a kind gem. Her relentless love was freely given to all. She had a special way of connecting with everyone she met, making you feel as though you were the most important person in her life. To be loved by her is truly one of the greatest blessings you could experience. Her love for missions ran deep as she passionately served with the mission service Corp and through the WMU in her local church for numerous years.

Grandmother's passion and ability to unconditionally love is undoubtedly rooted in her personal relationship with Christ, whom she trusted through all of life's trials, heartbreaks, and celebrations. Her life and legacy will forever be a beacon and testimony to the gospel of Christ. While she could be serious, our Grandmother was not without a silly side. Her quick-wit and quirky sense of humor could send you into a belly laugh at a moments notice. She was the essence of grace and beauty, and not just because you couldn't catch her without her rouged cheeks and red lipstick. Any that knew her are better because of it and we rejoice in the fulfillment of her faith as we know she is singing and praising in Heaven today.

She is survived by her sons, Daniel W. DuBose, Jr. and wife, Betty, of Houston and Perry B. DuBose and wife, Jane, of Sugar Land; daughters, Deborah Kindell and husband, Mark, of Baytown, Lydia DuBose of Milam, and Merri Tieman and husband, Michael, of Milam; sister, Nina Beth Proctor and husband, Boyd, of Leesburg; grandchildren, Paige DuBose, Lacy Wilson, Wade Greathouse, Paula Inman, Jen Lesak, Christian Greathouse, Travis Johns, Ryan Tieman, Price DuBose, and Elissa Jacobs; 14 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Dorothy was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Daniel Wade DuBose, Sr.

A visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 27, 2021 at Starr Funeral Home in Hemphill, Texas.

Funeral services will began at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Starr Funeral Home Chapel in Hemphill, Texas with Bro. Michael Tieman and Jim Nethery officiating.

Burial will follow funeral services at Joel Halbert Cemetery in Milam, Texas under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with her grandsons serving as pallbearers.
