Pearlie Mac Elam
Pearlie Mac Elam, 75, of Orange died Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009 at Promise Hospital in Nederland.
She was born March 19, 1934 in Hemphill to Mac McKay and Pearl Zager and had lived in Orange 41 years. She was a seamstress and a member of the First Baptist Church in Orange.
Survivors: husband, Dan Elam of Orange; daughter, Beverly Susan Murphy and husband, Dick of Nederland; sister, Shirley McKay of Houston; one grandchild, Frances Murphy, and one great-grandchild, Katie Collins.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 24 at Starr Funeral Home Chapel in Hemphill with Rev. Aaron Pardue officiating. Interment followed in Hemphill Cemetery.
