    BURNEYVILLE - Services for Mae King, 79, will be 10 a.m. Monday at Falconhead Christian Fellowship Chapel with the Rev. Lamoin Champ, Nocona, Texas, retired pastor of First Baptist Church, Burkburnett, Texas, officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, Ardmore. Arrangements are under the direction of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

    Born May 22, 1926 at Lawton to James Arvil and Dollie C. Brandon Hanks, she passed away Jan. 20, 2006 at an Ardmore hospital.

    A resident of Falconhead since 1987, Mrs. King had previously made her home at Burkburnett for some 30 years.

    She and Buren Edwin "Mort" King were married Nov. 14, 1942 at Lawton. They were married 61 years at the time of his death on Aug. 17, 2003.

    In addition to being a wife, mother, special granny and sister, Mrs. King was both a homemaker and a businesswoman. In 1968 she was honored as Woman of the Year by the Boomtown Chapter of the American Business Women's Association at Burkburnett. She owned and operated King's Frame Shoppe in Burkburnett from 1974 to 1986. Mrs. King was also a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star Grand Chapter #970 of Wichita Falls, Texas.

    Throughout the years she served as a den mother, Boy Scout leader and president of the Gray Lady Chapter of the American National Red Cross. Mrs. King was a member of First Baptist Church at Burkburnett. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.

    'God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, so He put His arms around you and whispered, "Come with me." With tearful eyes we watched you slowly fade away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, your hard-working hands put to rest ... God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.'

    Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne E. King Sr. and wife, Cookie, Peachtree City, Ga., and Robert C. King and wife, Ann Kristin, Seneca, S.C.; four sisters, Ester Damron, June Husted, Faye Moore and Pat Percle; brother-in-law, Creed H. King Jr.; three grandchildren, Wayne King Jr., Peachtree City, Scott King, Peachtree City, and Kori Chisham, Alexandria, Va.; four great-grandchildren Brody King, Peachtree, Kasey King, Peachtree, Lauren King, Peachtree and Wayne King III "Trey", Peachtree; and faithful dog, Chipper.

    Bearers are grandsons, Wayne King Jr. and Scott King; granddaughter, Kori Chisham, and nephews, Neale Mathis, Terry Moore, Gary Tubbs and Melvin Tubbs. Honorary bearers are Barbara Moore, Mary Favreau and Mary Alice Sanders.

    Funeral for June A. Husted, 81, Yukon, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, Yukon.

    She went to be with the Lord Friday, Feb. 5, 2010.

    Graveside service will be at 3 p.m. at Highland Cemetery, Lawton, under direction of Yanda and Son Funeral Home, Yukon.

    She was born May 23, 1928, in Lawton, and lived the last 30 years in Yukon. She was well-known in the bowling world as she served 25 years as the secretary of the women's city and state bowling association. She was recognized with numerous awards and honors from the bowling association. She will be greatly missed by her daughter and grandchildren.

    Survivors include her daughter, Betty Dawn Thederahn; three grandchildren and spouses: Randy and Mary Thederahn, Terry Thederahn, and Tamara and Billy Mickle; nine great-grandchildren: Nathan Thederahn, Britney Cobbs, Kyle Thederahn, Tanner Thederahn, Cody Thederahn, Tyler Thederahn, Sienna Mickle, Charlie Mickle and Kristopher Mickle.

    . Faye Moore, 78, of Lebanon, Okla., passed away Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008, at her home in Lebanon.


    Faye was born on April 14, 1930, in Lawton, Okla., to the late James Arvil Hanks and Dollie Cordelia Brandon Hanks. She was raised in Lawton where she graduated from the Lawton High School. Faye was one of the first policewomen in Lawton where she worked for five years. She married Dennis Terrell Moore on Jan. 18, 1947, in Burkburnett, Texas. He preceded her in death after 50 years on Feb. 19, 1997. She lived several years in Oklahoma City and later in Yukon.
    In 1982 she moved to Lebanon where she lived the rest of her life. Faye helped to raise funds to start the Lebanon Volunteer Fire Department. She enjoyed sewing, coin collecting, playing cards and her grandchildren.


    Faye is survived by sons Jim Moore, Houston, Texas, and Terry Moore, Lebanon, Okla.; daughter Barbara and husband Neale Mathis, Lebanon, Okla.; sisters Ester Damron, Lawton, Okla., and June Husted, Yukon, Okla.; grandchildren Mike and Christie Mathis, Lebanon, Okla., Dennis Moore, Tulsa, Okla., and Joseph Moore, Oklahoma City; and great-grandchildren Jared, Conner and Mackenzie Mathis, all of Lebanon, Okla.


    Faye was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and five sisters, Dorothy Howard, Hazel Jaquess, Anna Jaquess, Mae King and Patsy Percle.

    Funeral services will be Friday, Oct. 31, 2008, at 11 a.m. at the Lebanon Baptist Church, Lebanon, Okla. Lyndol Adams and Dan Clifton will officiate the services. Interment will be at the Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, Okla., Services under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Okla.
    Casket bearers will be Jim Gerhold, Jim Thompson, Terry Hewitt, Bobby Hand, Joe Franklin Moore, Tim Moore, Will Wagoner and Gene Mathis.
