He had a brothers John and Wencil and a sister, Mary, all of whom were married in Saline County. He filed a claim on homestead land in Section 34 of Liberty Precinct, but cancelled it before it was proven. (Milligan, p 295).

Cellestine married Frances "Fannie" Krejdle on 1 Feb 1876. Frances (daughter of Joseph Krejdle and Fannie Barikova) was born on 1 Jul 1856 in Zbyrov, Prazky, Bohemia; died on 3 Sep 1933; was buried in Bohemian National Cemetery (Milligan South), Milligan, Fillmore County, Nebraska.
