    White and Toole show her as a daughter of Littleton Fowler ROBERTS and Mollie BLACKMAN. Her siblings are shown as C. C. Roberts, Joseph Roberts, Fannie Roberts, and Magdalena Roberts. They stated that Littleton Fowler Roberts was "Probably the son of Moses F and Nancy Roberts who lived in Shelby County, Texas at the time of the 1850 Census. Also in the household at that time was a 74 year old Margaret Roberts (grandmother?). (White and Toole, p 66)."

    Lela A. HARRISON

    Lela A. HARRISON, 84, of Silsbee died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007 at Buna Medical Center. Mrs. Harrison, born in Center, was reared in Pineland. She had lived in Silsbee several years and retired from Silsbee High School as a cafeteria worker. Survivors: sons and daughters-in-law, Howard and Nancy HARRISON and Robert and Jeanie HARRISON, all of Silsbee, daughters and son-in-law, Polly KARNES of Beaumont and Mary Anna and Terry HAMILTON; brother, Pete SANFORD of Buna; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in deather by her husband Harlis H. HARRISON, and a daughter, Alice EDDINGS. Graveside rites were held at 1 p.m. Friday at Cunningham Cemetery in Silsbee. Services were under the direction of R.S. Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. Condolences may be offered at www.timeformemory.com/farmer.

    Terry Dwain White

    Terry Dwain White, 58, of Lumberton, formerly of Sabine County, died Saturday, June 8, 2002, at his residence.

    White was a native of Pineland and had lived in Nome several years before moving to Lumberton three years ago. He had worked for the Exxon Mobil Chemical Company as a pipefitter for 33 years.

    Survivors: wife, Mary Nancy Courts White of Lumberton; a son, Darin Christiff White of Lumberton; a daughter Mallory Suzanne White of Lumberton; mother-in-law, Louise Courts of Beaumont; a sister-in-law, Theresa White of Killeen; a niece, Kim Mischek of Irving, and a nephew, Patrick White of Irving.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Arvil and Lula White, and a borhter, Klaus Wayne White.

    Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 11, at the Kelley & Watkins Funeral Home chapel in Beaumont. Interment followed at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Beaumont.

    Polly Ann Harrison Karnes

    Polly Ann Harrison Karnes, 65, of Silsbee died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.

    She was born Oct. 20, 1942, in Pineland as a daughter of the late Harlis H. and Leila A. Harrison and was a longtime resident of the Silsbee-Beaumont area. She worked for DuPont in Nederland for almost 40 years before retiring.

    Survivors: her sister, Mary A. GRIMES of LaPorte; brothers, Howard L. HARRISON and Robert H. HARRISON, both of Silsbee; uncle, Pete Sanford of Buna; and nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as a by a sister, Alice B. EDDINGS.

    It was Polly's wish that donations be made to the Southeast Texas Family Service Center, 990 IH 10 North, Suite 140, Beaumont, TX 77702, in lieu of flowers, cards and services.

    Arrangements were handled by R.S. Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee.
