Kathryn McFalls White,86,of Star City,died Tuesday,November 28th,2006,at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.She was born October 14th,1920,in Lincoln County,a daughter of the late J.K. McFalls and Myrtle McLemore McFalls.She was a graduate of Tillar High School,where she was an All-State basketball player in her tenth,eleventh&twelfth-grade years.She worked for Byrd Manufacturing and retired from Levi Strauss.She was a member of the Levi Retired Employees Association.She was a member of Star City First Methodist Church.She was also preceded in death by a sister,Dorothy Steed,a brother,Edwin McFalls,and a grandson,Shawn White.Survivors include her husband,Havis White of Star City,whom she married February 25th,1939;three sons,Jerry White of Conway,and Johnny White and Danny Paul White, both of Star City;one daughter,Lane White Burns of Star City;two sisters,Margie Clary of Star City and Betty Ragland of Tennessee;nine grandchildren;19 great-grandchildren;and caregivers,Olivia Holmes,Tootsie Drake and Sarah Smith.Funeral Services were held at 11:00a.m. on Saturday,December 2,2006,at Griffin Funeral Services of Star City with Thomas McGriff officiating.Burial was in Holly Springs Cemetery near Star City.

Mrs. Betty Ragland-Burden, 74, of Cookeville passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 3rd, 2011 at her home
Mrs. Burden was born in Star City, AR on November 10, 1937, the daughter of the late J. K. McFalls and Myrtle (McLemore) McFalls. She was a member of Jefferson Street Church of Christ. She was owner of the Fifth Dimension Beauty Salon for 27 years and also worked with the Cedar Street Salon for the last five years. She was a devoted, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
She is survived by:

Daughters & son in laws: Sherry & Danny Maxwell of Cookeville; Shelley & Donald Gross of Raleigh, NC
Grandchildren: Kristina & Chris Stockton of Murfreesboro; Daniell & Cory Carter of Clarksville; Crystal & Tyler Cox of Cookeville; Lee Farris of Cookeville & Amanda Gross of Raleigh, NC
Sister: Margie Clary of Star City, AR
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Roy W. Ragland, sisters Katherine White & Dorothy Steed and brother Edwin Paul McFalls
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, December 5th at Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Brother Buddy Johnson officiating. Entombment will follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5-8 pm and on Monday from noon until the time of the service.
Pallbearers will be Danny Maxwell, Phillip Green, Lee Farris, Chris Stockton, Cory Carter and Tyler Cox.
