Dr. Louis T. Maumus, M.D. passed away on April 1, 2016 from complications of cancer of the pancreas. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Lacoste Maumus, his brother Victor M. Maumus and his former wife, Barbara Ann Smith and their three children, Louis Francis Maumus, Michelle Mc Grath, and Dr. Marianne Maumus Conrad, and by five grandchildren, Corinne Mc Grath, Collin Mc Grath, Lauren Mc Grath, Michael Conrad and Magaret Conrad. He was preceded by his father Dr. Louis Francis Maumus and his mother Flora Mae Sutton. He was a graduate of Loyola University, Tulane Medical School and Tulane Graduate School. He practiced Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology in the Internal Medicine Group in New Orleans, LA. He was honored to be an active member of the medical faculty of Tulane Medical School until he retired in 1999. He held privileges at Charity Hospital, Tulane Medical Center, Methodist Hospital and De La Ronde Hospital. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Tulane Medical School. A Memorial Mass will be Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church in Bay St. Louis, MS. The family will receive guest one hour prior to Mass.
