Annie Lou Simmons
Annie Lou Simmons, age 86, of Newton died July 2, 2002 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. She was born on July 14, 1915 in Milam, Texas and had lived in Newton for 76 years. Funeral services were held on Friday, July 5, 2002 at 2:00 pm at Smith Funeral Home in Newton. Burial followed at Old Union Cemetery in Newton County.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ramsey Tom Simmons; brothers Joe Fullen, Isaac Fullen and John Bertis Fullen and sisters, Pearlie Mae Fullen Bobbitt and Ollie Fay Fullen Smith.
She is survived by her daughter, Doris Mitchell of DeRidder, La. and her 3 sons, John Lloyd Simmons of Buna, Paul Simmons of Newton and Jimmy Simmons of Newton; 11 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
