His motto was "I'm doing the best I can" and he always did. After retirement, he taught himself to play guitar. He learned a variety of songs but especially liked playing Jerry Jeff Walker songs.

Notes about Bill, shared by his father, Roland Fuller.
Bill worked for the REA for two summers during high school, installing air conditioners in rural areas where most customers still only had 110 volt service. He played little league baseball in Maine, making it to the state elimination game of the little league world series. In High school he played baseball, basketball and football while in High School, and was a four year all district shortstop and three year all district safety/quarterback. After he graduated from San Augustine High School in 1972, he attended SFASU in Nacogdoches, and Blinn in Brenham.
Bill was briefly married to Debra K Ferguson of Sabine County. They had one daughter, Jill, at the time of their divorce. He joined the USAF in April, 1976, and was stationed at Yokota Air Base in Japan, where he worked as a cable splicer, a trade he still pursues. During his time in the service, he travelled throughout the far East installing communication systems. He was later transferred to Rapid City, SD to work in the missle field, and then to Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was honorably discharged from the Air Force in 1986.
He studied business management at Vernon Junior College, and in 1989 went to work for Henkel & McCoy. In 2004, he and his wife Sarah bought small 20 acre farm east of Waco, where they raise a few cattle while maintaining their outside employment. Bill runs his own business, Double S. Communications.
