His cause of death was listed as "Accidental death by truck, inquest held" and the informant was his father, D. Strickland. His parents were listed as D. Strickland and Zilph Lott, and his usual occupation was that of a painter. At the time of his death he was a resident of Bessmay in Jasper County, Texas. He was buried in San Augustine.
