      Class of 1937

      Hemphill High School's graduating class of 1937 held a reunion Saturday, April 27. Attending were, from left: Lloyd Salts, Cecil Tucker Hogan, Gweneth Alford Tinsley, Elrod Dent, Dorothy Collier Eddings (sic), Jack Maund and Mabel Maund Sherman.

      Dorothy B. Collier Eddins, 87, of Bronson, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2007, at her residence.

      Mrs. Eddins was born April 16, 1920, in Mooringsport, Louisiana, as a daughter of the late George Augustus and Gladys Mavor Winn Collier. She had lived in Sabine County for the past few years.

      Survivors: children, Dorothy Marie Whiteman and Carolyn Faye Smith, both of Bronson, Nancy Drew, of Pineland, and Bobbie Eddins of Center; 14 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

      She was preceded in death by her husband, L.C. Eddins.

      Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Watson and Sons Funeral Home chapel in Center with Bro. Royce Robb officiating. Interment followed at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center.

      Services were under the direction of Watson and Sons Funeral Home in Center.
