      Obituary

      Bro. W.D. "Bo" Dickerson passed away Friday, May 29, 2020, at a Nacogdoches hospital at the age of 74.

      William Dalton Dickerson was born March 29, 1946, in San Augustine County and had been a lifelong area resident. He was a retired County road maintenance worker. While health permitted, Bro. Bo faithfully served several years ministering at churches, including Holly Grove, Little Flock, Grapevine, and Mission at Midway Missionary Baptist Churches in East Texas.

      He was preceded in death by his wife, Bettie Myrtle Dickerson, on Sept. 3, 2019.

      Those who are left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Karen Mills and her husband Alan Mills of San Augustine and Betsy Ross of San Augustine; grandchildren, Victoria Humphrey & her husband, Clayton of Lufkin; Sarrina Mills and Shane Mills III of both of San Augustine; great-granddaughter, Cheyene Humphrey of Lufkin; sisters, Bennie Faye Pike of San Augustine; Billie Andrews of Houston and Lutherine "Ping" Blood of Farmerville, Louisiana; best friend and brother, Gaylon Bryan and his wife, Janice Bryan of San Augustine; brothers-in-law, Robert and Janette Smith of Coppers Cove, and Paul and Nita Smith of Channelview, along with nieces and nephews that he raised throughout his lifetime.

      He is preceded in death by the love of his life, Bettie Dickerson, 2 sisters, 3 brothers and several nieces and nephews and other family members.

      Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 6, 2020, in the Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel, 316 West Columbia Street, San Augustine, Texas, with Bro. Robert Byley, Jr., Vic Sowell, Duane Mills, and Gaylon Bryan officiating. Interment will follow in the Dickerson Cemetery, located off CR 4260 to CR 4255 in San Augustine County.

      Visitation will be Saturday, June 6, 2020, from the hours of 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Wyman Roberts.

      Serving as pallbearers will include Alan Mills, Shane Mills III, Marcus Beard, Walter McCauley, William Paul Allen, and Josh Pike. Honorary pallbearers will include Payton Allen, Sarrina Mills, Chris Durham, and Josiah Prislac.
