Notes |
- Larry Gene Moody, 63, of Six Mile, Texas passed from this life to his eternal home on Sunday, December 30, at Sabine County Hospital in Hemphill, Texas.
He was born November 27, 1955 to the late Denton and Adalene Smith Moody. Larry received his education from Hemphill ISD and spent his life working in general construction work, operating bulldozers, drag lines and other types of heavy equipment. He was also a member of the Littleton- Fowler Masonic Lodge No. 305. He loved living on Toledo Bend, fishing and hunting in his spare time. However, his greatest loves were his wife, children and grandchildren. His eyes would shine as he spoke lovingly of them and what they meant to him.
Due to health reasons, Larry did not attend church regularly, but he often testified to his family that he was a believer and a recipient of GOD'S amazing grace.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 22 years, Dana Moody, of Six Mile Community; daughters, Alisa Usher and husband, Doug, of Cleveland, Texas, Heather Snow and husband, James and Kristy LeAnn Moody, all of Six Mile Community; brothers, Charles Moody and wife, Linda, of Hemphill, Texas; sisters, Patricia Moody Cordray of Carthage, Texas, LaNell Moody Hardy and husband, Marlin, of Center, Texas, and Sue Loper of Longview, Texas; and grandchildren, Jaicee' Harrison, Autumn Snow, Kamden Snow, Aubre'Ann Moody, and Emersyn Kate Ferguson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Adalene Smith Moody; father, Denton Moody; baby sister, Katherine Moody; two brothers, Danny Lee Moody and Gary Steven (Chuck) Moody; and brother-in-law, John Wesley Cordray.
