- Well Known McComb Man Dies Early Monday at Mother's Home
William P. Habig, well known McComb man, died the morning of December 14, 1936 at the home of his mother on Easy Street.
Mr. Habig was a veteran of the World War, serving in the U. S. Navy in foreign waters for two and a half years. For a number of years he was employed by the I.C.R.R. as a machinist, working in McComb and in Paducah, Kentucky.
Mr. Habig was a man widely known and esteemed by a host of friends. News of his death was received with deep regret.
Surviving are one son, William P. Habig, Jr., of Greenwood; his mother, Mrs. Louise M. Spiller, McComb; three sisters, Mrs. C. B. Morton, Jackson; Mrs. W. J. C. Wiemers, Sanitorium; and, Mrs Dl H. Mackay, Dallas, Texas; one brother, Paul M. Habit, Jackson.
