There are also links on her page to her parents, William Edward Haynes and Lula Belle Scott. Verda was born to William Edward & Lula Belle Haynes. She married Roy Oscar Bennett in 1936. She was a loving mother to her 4 boys and a doting grandmother to 8 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. She loved the Lord and was faithful to meet with God's people every Sunday & Wednesday night. She read her Bible daily and prayed for her family and friends by name. She wrote poetry and kept journals of how God worked in her life. Sometimes the poems would be about the Pastors sermon, she'd just heard. She loved her husband, Roy and treated him like a king. Up until her dying days she still wanted to do things for herself, even in pain. She was a godly woman and is missed daily by this grandaughter.
