- Bruce M. McGown, 85 of Houston, Texas, died Monday, September 27, 2010 at Memorial Herman Southwest Hospital in Houston.
Mr. McGown was a native of Milam, Texas, and had lived in Wildwood and Nederland prior to living in Houston two years ago. He retired with thirty-four years of service as a regional supervisor at Fina in Port Arthur. Mr. McGown served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of Wildwood Village Mills United Methodist Church and Wildwood Men's Golf Association.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy McGown of Houston; daughter, Christy Guess of Houston; Reggie McGown of Houston; two grandchildren, Courtney and Alexander Guess of Houston; brothers, Billy McGown of Milam and Arthur McGown of Port Neches and sister, Rosemary McGee of Lake Jackson.
His funeral service will be 3:00 PM, Thursday, September 30, 2010 at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches with Reverend Eldon Reed officiating, under the direction of Broussard's in Nederland.
