- The Milligan 2008 History book shows that he entered the Air Force in May 1942 and was honorably discharged that same year. He returned to Nebraska and worked for the Cushman Company in Lincoln, returning to Milligan to farm after the war.
He and Goldie moved to Tobias in 1959, and to Dorchester in 1967 where Bill worked for the State.

- Marie Honicky and Anna Honicky were the daughters of Frank HORNICKY and Elizabeth KRAL.
They were the parents of sons Emil, Edwin, William, Alois and daughter Mildred (Mrs. William FUJAN). Sons Emil and Edwin died young, and are buried near their parents.
