- He shares a double marker with Ruth Ann, born 30 Sept 1924, whom he married on 24 May 1947. FindAGrave also indicates he was a veteran of World War II. The 2008 Milligan History book notes that he enlisted in the Army Air Corp and was stationed in the Marianas and flew 35 B-29 missions over Japan. He was commissioned as a flight engineer. He was elected and served as Senator of the 32nd District in the Nebraska Legislature from 1971 to 1981, and resigned to accept an appointment as Deputy Director of the Nebraska Department of Agriculture. He was also on the Fillmore County Fair Board, as well as on the State Fair Board.
