      Bennie Paul Ener

      Bennie Paul Ener, 66, of Center died Friday, July 5, 2002 in Beaumont.

      Ener was born Sept. 28, 1935 in Pineland as a son of Inez Iler Ener and the late Bennie C. Ener. He had lived in Center six years and was a former longtime resident of Orange. He served as the minister of the Church of Christ in Joaquin.

      Survivors: wife, Linda Ener of Center; mother, Inez Ener of Pineland; sons, John David Ener of Dallas and Jason Howell Ener of Galveston; daughter Elizabeth Ann Perry of Buna; brother, Bill Ener of Pineland; sister, Beth McDaniel of Hemphill; and five grandchildren, Jordan, Byron, Gregory, Scarlett and Patrick.

      Funeral services were held 2 pm Monday at the Chapel of Starr Funeral Home Inc in Hemphill with William Perry and Joe Hughes officiating. Interment followed at Lonestar Cemetery near Pineland.
