      Hilda Ivy Bennett, 90, died Thursday in the Matlock Place Nursing Home in Arlington, TX. She was born in North Hampton, England, to Mr. & Mrs. James Brown. Ivy was married to Walter Bennett and lived in Sabine County for many years. She attended the Pineland Church of Christ and enjoyed visiting with family and friends and knitting.

      Mrs. Bennett is survived by her son Rick Bennett and his wife Yvonne of Arlington, her grandchildren; Walter Bennett and his wife Stacey, Sandra Bennett, Susan Wood and her husband Brian; her great grandchildren, Kelli Williams and her husband Michael, Kristi Carden and her husband David, Tyler, Logan, Colbi, Blake, Lacie, Cade and Tori; and her great great grandchildren, Ryan Williams and Colton Williams. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Bennett, her mother and father and six brothers and sisters.

      Funeral services were held Monday, February 6, in the Starr Funeral Home in Hemphill. Burial followed in the Pinehill Cemetery near Hemphill.
