- Caroline was married first to a Mr. Kirksey. At the time of the 1850 Newport, Florida census, she was enumerated with William and his children from his first marriage, William L, John and Angeline. Also living with them was her 12 year old daughter, Victoria Kirksey, and their three children together, Henry, Elizabeth and Lucretia.
