    Notes
    • Daniel Lynn Ebarb, 53, of Hemphill, passed away Thursday, Aug. 8, 2019 at Baylor CHI St. Luke's in Houston, after a lengthy illness.

He was born Aug. 10, 1965, one of seven children, to Thelma Spears and Lee Roy Ebarb, in San Augustine. After moving to Jennings, LA, he found a "good Louisiana woman" and married Rachel Hale on Feb. 14, 1987. He worked in the auto parts industry for over 30 years and was the manager at Genuine Auto Parts in Hemphill for nearly 20 years. He was a member of Hemphill United Pentecostal Church. He was the ultimate supporter of his family, including his two daughters, Danielle and Sabrina, and various "adopted" children. In the past several years, he battled pulmonary fibrosis, and eventually succumbed to complications of this disease. He never lost his faith in God and never stopped seeing His hands in everything.

Survivors include: wife of 32 years, Rachel Ebarb; daughters, Danielle Price and spouse, Catherine, and Sabrina Durbin and husband, Dennis, all of Hemphill; grandchildren, Megan, Tyler, Nevaeh, Tucker and Rogan; parents, Thelma and Lee Roy Ebarb; siblings, David Ebarb and wife, Janet, Rebecca O'Blanc and husband, Timmy, Betty Bealer and husband, Henry, Randy Ebarb, Timmy Ebarb, and Tammie Lopez; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family, and many, many friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Aug. 10, beginning at 5 p.m. at Hemphill United Pentecostal Church.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, Aug. 11, at the Hemphill ISD Athletic Complex, beginning at 2 p.m., with Rev. Billy R. Hennigan and Bro. David Ebarb officiating. Interment will follow in Springhill Cemetery, Hemphill.
