SILSBEE Funeral for J.T. Hawthorne Jr., 64, of Silsbee will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Farmer Funeral Home with burial at the Friendship Cemetery in Roganville. Hawthorne died at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Baptist Hospital in Beaumont after an illness. He was a native of Kirbyville and lived in Silsbee 36 years. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for the state highway department. Survivors include his wife, Irene Hawthorne; two daughters, Wanda Nevills and Jeanelle Scoggins, both of Silsbee; a son, Terry Hawthorne of Silsbee; his mother, Amanda Hawthorne of Kirbyville; five sisters, Estelle Davis of Medford, Ore., Sybil McHaney of Montgomery, Chee Lee Wall of Beaumont, Mickey Shelton of Houston and Versie DuMont of Keithville, La.; a brother, James Hawthorne of Kirbyville; and 10 grandchildren.
