- John Andrew McLemore sent an email, on June 8, 2010, noting that his father's name is "Vernon Lewis McLemore, he was born in Tulsa, OK in 1950. He is the son of John Vernon McLemore who was born in Texas in 1928. My great-grandfather is John Virgil McLemore and I am not sure where he was born. My great-great grandfather's name is John Sinclair McLemore. I don't know where he was born either." He added, in a follow up email, that he had also heard that his great-grandfather was John Simpson McLemore, but his grandfather continues to swear this name was actually John Sinclair McLemore.
