    • The digital image of his actual Texas Death Certificate, viewable online at FamilySearch.org, Texas Deaths, 1890-1976, shows him as the son of John Richard Bell, Kentucky, and Julia Ann Smith, Kentucky. The informant was J. W. Bell Jr., relationship not indicated, but presumably a namesake son. He was shown as a farmer and stockman.
