      Theo Bragg Byerly

      Theo Bragg Byerly, 70, of Milam died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 1996, at St. Luke's Hospital in Houstopn.

      Mrs. Byerly was born March 11, 1926, in Sabine Parish, Louisiana, as a daughter of the late Albert and Lula Mae (Burr) Vines and had lived in Sabine County 50 years. She was a member of Centerview Missionary Baptist Church.

      Survivors: Husband, Berlin "Bill" Byerly of Milam; daughters, Elizabeth LILLEY of Livingston, and Debbie WOMACK of Milam; three sons, Charles Ray Bragg of Brazoria and Dennis and Roger Bragg, both of Lake Jackson; a step-son, Robert Byerly of Pineland; sisters, Melva ROBERTS of Mansfield, Louisiana, Azalea CARTINEZ of Zwolle, Louisiana, Lilly WILLIAMS of Roganville, and Evelyn BRAGG of Milam; brothers, Bill Vines and Coyce Vines, both of Shreveport, Louisiana, A. J. Vines of Livingston, and E. C. Vines of Lufkin, 11 granchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

      Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel of Starr Funeral Home Inc. in Hemphill with Bro. B. C. Duke and Bro. Charles Stephens officiating. Interment was at New Hope Cemetery near Milam.
