      Obituary

      Mr. Chester Lee Evans, age 48, of the Grapevine Community in San Augustine County, Texas, died Friday evening, July 5, 2013, in San Augustine. He was born March 3, 1966, in San Augustine to the late Charles Edward (Eddie) Evans and Lera B. (Atkins) Evans.

      He worked as a carpenter. He loved to ride his motorcycle. He had recently been involved in getting a motorcycle-riders club going along with several of his friends in the area.

      He is survived by his wife, Sharon Evans of San Augustine; sons, Chester Lee Evans Jr. of Milam and Joshua Glenn Williams and wife Courtney of Diboll; daughter, Kristina Williams of Cabot, Arkansas; grandchildren, Lilly, Emily, Hunter and Kandice; sisters, Darlene Luckey, Dorothy Lou Dominey, Dalene Socia and Glenda Lee Gary; brothers, Jerry Adkins, Eric Evans, Edward Evans, Curtis Evans, David Evans, William Evans and Thomas Evans; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

      He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Lera B. Evans; and a brother Gilbert Evans.

      Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 11, 2013, 11:00 a.m., Grapevine Missionary Baptist Church, with Bro. Beaux Dickerson officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, 5:00 p.m. til 8:00 p.m. at Grapevine MBC. Pallbearers will be Chester Lee Evans Jr., Joshua Williams, William Evans, Eric Evans, Thomas Evans and Hunter Williams. Honorary pallbearers are Edward Evans, Curtis Evans. Burial will follow in the Evans Family Cemetery (located behind the home of Chester).
