  Notes	Per Nan McCoy Kittell, Lucy had a daughter before she married Hank Votes. Her brothers paid to send her to Houston, where the baby was born. She placed the baby for adoption. Later in life, she searched for her child, but was never able to locate the child. This was confirmed by Hank Votes in 1982. She and Hank were unable to have children together, and he believed that Lucy "died of a broken heart."
