Page 10 Mabel Lois Birdwell Funeral services for Mabel Lois Birdwell, 71, of San Augustine, will be held at 2:00 p.m. today, September 17, 2009 at Wyman Roberts Memorial Chapel in San Augustine. Burial will follow at LIttle Flock Cemetery in San Augustine County with Bro. Burl McBride and Bro. Leo Wright officiating. She died September 14, 2009 in Lufkin. Mabel Lois Birdwell was born in San Augustine County on April 3, 1938 (sic) to Joseph Aaron Dickerson and Mittie Lorena Norwood. She was a homemaker for her own home and was a member of the Macune Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Tex Birdwell of San Augustine County; daughter, Sherry McDaniel and husband Greg of Carthage; sons, Rusty Birdwell and Todd Birdwell and wife Amy, all of San Augustine County; six grandchildren and two great-great granchildren; sister Mary Lou Alford and husband Charles of San Augustine. Condolences may be offered or online obituary viewed. Wyman Roberts Funeral Home in San Augustine was in charge of arrangements.
